Guilty Pleasure

So everyone has some sort of guilty pleasure, you know what I'm talking about. Something that might not be easily disclosed to friends or family members, or is slightly out of character you personify on the average day. I think there are good and bad guilty pleasures, you know the bad ones. Smoking or being a klepto or something. Good ones are more like, watching some really corny soap opera or sour keys.

This is from a show I watched one, and the guilty pleasures of some of these people get pretty drastic. I mean really, this can't taste very good...

I have a few guilty pleasures, one of which is buying ridiculously expensive magazines for like, ten dollars, to only half-read once. I also have a guilty pleasure of watching old pokemon episodes on youtube. Some badly dubbed anime gets me through a boring day at home.

Do you have a guilty pleasure you feel like sharing?

we love fast food

So I recently got a job at this new fast food restaurant that hasn't even opened yet in Orillia, called Extreme Pita. I had my orientation yesturday, and my first day of training is tomorrow. All of the new employees got to look around the restaurant and see how things would be done.
When I decided to put in my application for this place, I imagined it might be different from most of the other high calorie, high fat, pretty disgusting restaurants in this town. Turns out its not much different, you can check out the stats here: http://www.extremepita.com/food/CDN-nutritional-poster.pdf
Now I don't know if I'm going a bit psycho here, or if I even have a footing on what I'm talking about. Do you worry about little things that might happen in the future, like you know obesity, diabetes, and heart attacks.

[Obesity is] one of the most tragic, costly, and preventable public health problem facing this country today. An epidemic of obesity that drains our economy of billions of dollars annually in direct medical expenses, disability and lost productivity, and ... together with a sedentary lifestyle contributes to over three hundred thousand excess deaths each year. Next to smoking, obesity is the second leading cause of preventable death in the United States.
-- George L. Blackburn, M.D., President, American Society for Clinical Nutrition

These are some of the leading causes of death in North America, but it just seems to me our generation prefers to fuel the fire rather than do anything about it.

Is this just a scenario where you think, oh that won't happen to me ? Or do you think that you won't let it get that far? Do you even think this is a problem?
